SC-104 Outer Limits
Outer Limits is the only stage in Steel Challenge where movement is part of your timed performance. Remember to keep your firearm pointed down range and your finger out of the trigger guard as you move to the second position.
Engage (T1-T4) Finish on Stop Plate (SP) - Competitors shoot four strings, starting from their respective weak-side shooting box. Right-handed shooters will begin from the left, and left-handed shooters will start from the right.
Competitors start by engaging the two targets on their side of the centerline, then move to the center shooting box, under time, to complete the remaining three targets. Note that any single competitor will use only two of the three boxes.
The best three out of four runs count for the overall score.
Targets and Shooting Boxes:
Three 4-by-4 shooting boxes 6 feet apart
Two 12-inch plates at 5 feet high
Two 18-by-24-inch rectangles at 5 feet, 6 inches high
One 12-inch stop plate (SP) at 5 feet high Max Target Distances:
35 yards deep (firing line to farthest target)
24 feet wide (left to right from target centers)
Average target distance = 25.6 yards
