Smoke & Hope is close distance fast shooting with fast transitions on large targets. 

Engage (T1-T4) Finish on Stop Plate (SP) - Competitors shoot five strings from one shooting box.

Best four out of five runs count for score.

Targets and Shooting Boxes:


  • One 3-by-3 shooting box at the centerline

  • Four 18-by-24-inch rectangles at 5 feet, 6 inches high

  • One 12-inch stop plate (SP) at 5 feet high

Max Target Distances:

  • 14 yards deep (firing line to farthest target)

  • 28 feet wide (left to right from target centers)

  • Average target distance = 9.2 yards
